Ajazz Networks in 2013

It's a brand new year and we are full of brand new ideas.

First up, I completely overhauled the website (and I'm still making tweaks)! The homepage has been simplified, displaying in tile formation all of our shows. In an effort to unify our shows under one roof, that roof being AjazzNetworks.com, you can now navigate to all of our shows directly within AjazzNetworks.com by simply hovering your cursor or by tapping "Shows" to reveal Ajazz Tech, Cinema Clash, R.A.N.T, and The Salinor Show. Internet Amazings has been moved under "Blogs" and is located here.

Also, we have a brand new blog and podcast thought up by Kyle Cicilioni and co-creator Charles McHale. It's called R.A.N.T. and it's going to screw with your emotions and expand your mind. Simply put, it's a discussion show where anything goes, especially topics "fueled by intense enthusiasm for notable subjects in the world....There is no topic, idea, thought, philosophy, or belief that our [the] team will not tackle." Stay tuned for more about R.A.N.T. as it is currently under construction.

In other news, The Salinor Show is constantly being written, Ajazz Tech is still Ajazz Tech and should be back into full swing soon... Sadly, Cinema Clash is no longer going to be part of our regularly scheduled lineup but that doesn't mean you can't listen to it. You can go here to listen to all archived episodes.

As always, if you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact us!

Stay tuned,

Alex Zarnoski

New segment called "Objectify" on "The Salinor Show 9: Sell Your Fortune"
Just a tiny reminder: The Salinor Show 9: Sell Your Fortune will be released this Monday, 5/14, at 6PM.

We have some tiny chairs to sell, fortunes to tell, buildings to conquer, and superheroes to exploit on this week's upcoming episode of The Salinor Show. I'd also like to tell you how much we appreciate your feedback and viewership.

If you haven't already, watch the previous episode to catch up with the brand new format and to acquaint yourself with some recurring characters.

Re-launching The Salinor Show

The Salinor Show 8: The Making Of

AjazzNetworks.com is about to be Salinored...again.

The idea of The Salinor Show is simple: adopt the ideals of Salinor (the band) to video. Anything goes. Improvisation is key. Screw structure. Toss out the norm, hone in on the taboo, and relish the unexplored. Episode one (posted above) represents our hopeful transition from improv indie music to improv indie video. The next episode of The Salinor Show (episode 8) will convey that transition. Why is this episode different? It's going to be a real boy—I mean show. There will be structure. It will actually have commercials, news segments, educational segments, and utter insanity. This isn't your typical YouTube video. There will be no piano playing cats...we prefer piano playing Salinors. It's a variety show. Simple.

Who's Involved?

At the helm, it's the guys from AjazzNetworks.com, Alex Zarnoski (that's me) and Kyle Cicilioni. We truly appreciate all the help we've been getting from our other contributors. Take the time to look for their names in the credits list. Kyle basically blew me away with episode 6, Film Etiquette, and that got my noodle spinning. I wanted to have more of that but with more of everything else. I wanted structure. That's what The Salinor Show was missing... Don't worry, it's not too structured. The point, after all, is to screw structure. Think of it as structure in its most unfettered form.
Green Screen, Podcast, Ajazz Networks
This is where the magic happens.

What's The Scoop?

The scoop boils down to me traveling home, unpacking tons of equipment, shooting sequences, and returning to my dungeon to edit hours of footage (Kyle too minus the traveling). It's really not that simple. It took two long days and three exhausted people to add hours of footage to digital tape and new iPads, which will eventually be whittled down to hopefully a few episodes. This wasn't the only footage captured. Kyle and his crack team of news buddies took it upon themselves to shoot some interesting footage at an undisclosed studio and used undisclosed, real lavalieres. Until this point, we were using "stock" or "vintage" footage from the good ol' days or our own music mixed with video. Now we get to enjoy ourselves and take out life's frustrations in front of a camera.

The Future...

As for what's to come...more great content from AjazzNetworks.com We really want to entertain you and that's all that really matters. We'll find a way to do it even if it means going back to old footage of us as crazy kids pounding on cheap plastic keyboards. For now, we'll do our best to make some of the wackiest, most disgustingly funny things that will be burned in to your minds.

From the both sides of the camera,
Alex Zarnoski

Ajazz Tech: iPad 3 Predictions

1/29/2012

Picture
Apple will soon be announcing the iPad 3 and Ajazz Tech is taking bets. What do you think the new iPad 3 will look like? What kind of processor do you think it’ll have? Will it be able to help you fold laundry? The rumors are out there, but no one really knows for sure until Apple drops the information first.

What do you think? Ajazz Tech wants to know. Submit your iPad 3 predictions before its announcement and whoever comes the closest to its final hardware specs is the winner!

Update 1: My predictions
February 20, 2012

March 7th, 2012:
iPad 2S or iPad 2X (2048x1536) [I don't see Apple using "X" but stranger things have happened], A5X processor, Retina Display, +15hr battery, thinner (deeper tapered edges), 8 megapixel rear camera. Kicker: Apple's own maps app (possibly due on the iPhone 5).

Future release 2013:
iPad 3D, A6 Quad-core processor, 3D Retina Display, 15hr min/20hr max battery, 12 megapixel 3D camera, same size. Kicker: brings OS X and iOS even closer.

Update 2: Speculation based on rumors
February 27, 2012

March 7th, 2012:
There is a very good chance that we'll see an iPad 3 with a higher price point, $80 more than the usual cost at each incremental price point (i.e. $499 > $579, 16GB+Wifi). The iPad 2 will see a processor bump to an A5X and the iPad 3 will see an A6 processor to assist with the higher-res screen. Maybe the kicker is that Apple will begin offering two different flavors of iPads to satisfy the needs of different consumer bases: One that is higher-end, focused on content creation, offering faster speeds/higher resolution display and one that is more mainstream, closely representing the current iPad 2. This seems more valid than rumors of an iPad with a smaller screen.

1/24/2012

_Welcome to Ajazz Networks.

The curtain has been lifted after a long period of planning and development, and I'm pleased to finally launch the site. I want to say "thank you" to those involved with its development and to those who have helped along the way. You made Ajazz Networks a reality.

Over the next year, we hope to deliver some killer content in new and twisted ways. So if there's anything missing, let us know and we'd be more than happy to make adjustments. You can contact us by email, Twitter, Facebook, and even by voice or text.

So here's how it works...
  • The shows page lists our currently running shows along with a feed of each new episode.
  • The blogs page will take you to our personal blogs and blogs that we think have great content.
  • The pod-wall lists our library of shows.
  • The videos page displays some of our favorite moments from past shows (if you have a request we'll add it).
  • The links page lists the best ways to get in touch with us and stay connected with our shows.
