As you may or may not know, Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I know I have my shoes shined for the occasion. They're the shoes I was wearing when I first met my wife Paula. She always tells me they're her favorite shoes, and maybe I should wear them more often. I always tell her, "not so fast Paula, these are only for one occasion, and that's to take you out for a nice Valentine's dinner." "What's that?", she always asks. Paula. In a sense she's right though, only because I never know what restaurant to choose from with so many in the NEPA 570 area. So many to choose from, but which ones are the best?

Alexander's. One of the best restaurant's in the area. I've been going to this place, "a 100 years", my granddaughter says sometimes. I've been going to this restaurant so long she wasn't even a twinkle in my son's eye. Anyway, the food here is awful, but you could request whatever you want. I always ask for a Hamburger Steak Platter with the potato and the vegetable even though they keep telling me they don't have it. Though they say it's not on the menu, they find a way and they make it perfect everytime. Then I'll order the Baked Haddock for Paula. For dessert we'll share an order of the Chocolate Moose. Romance under the stars.

This one time I had seafood at Red Lobster and I thought, "This is hands down the best seafood in the world." Then I ate at Sebastianelli's again and I was wrong. Sebastianelli's is hands down the best seafood in the world. For Valentine's Day, if we go there, I'll get an order of the Hamburger Steak Platter with potato and vegetable while Paula would order the Baked Haddock. If we're feeling so daring, we'll get the Calamari appetizer for home before we leave for breakfast the next day. No God, she doesn't know.
Wayne's is another great restaurant. Not only do I make an appearance at this restaurant twice, maybe three times a week, but it's also one of my all time favorite restaurants to go to on Valentine's Day. I always get their Hamburger Steak Platter with the potato and the vegetable. Paula always gets the Baked Haddock. Since the two of us could never finish our own dessert, we always share a rice pudding together. Romance a' la' mode.
